I just reached an important milestone: 30K followers on Instagram and YouTube at around the same time. To thank everyone—for following, commenting, and sharing, I made this little video (Link to video YouTube).
Hi Jim, congratulations on the 30k mark! I've been following your blog and youtube channel for years now and am always learning more and am inspired by your artwork and teachings. I've been working more with gouache and had asked you about doing final illustrations with it. I just finished this piece and wanted to show you since it's been through your teachings that I've come this far. I finished this with just gouache. It was mostly with brush and then just a bit of airbrush at the end to help blend some of the tones. I still need a lot of work but as my children are now both in school I'm finding a lot more time to work during my day. So thanks again for your work with the blog and youtube channel. I'm sure I speak for many when I say that you've done a lot for the art of illustration and it's artists.
Great to have a Clementoons moment again, particularly one that conveys the deep psychological truth that what we see changes -- when we change where we're looking from. Congratulations on the 30 K, and thanks for all you do.
