Similar concept to the Soundheim stage play "Sunday in the Park with George" that I had the good fortune to see at the 5th Avenue in Seattle. The play is a story woven around Seurat's masterpiece "Sunday Afternoon on the Isle of La Grande Jatte." that is stunningly recreated on stage.
I didn't realize there is a DVD of the live performance of the pulitzer prize winning play available. That's on order!
