You can almost hear him singing "where is the ring I have to Peggy Kane ,(substituting his wife's name for Nancy Spain"), one of his favorites. Tom, yes, that's on heavyweight, 100% rag illustration board, primed with gesso and Gamblin oil ground. When I'm sketching I usually use either that or Masonite. I often travel with the oil kit in a backpack, so everything has to be super compact.James Gurneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01870848001990898499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-39232414038195170062010-03-19T14:51:34.572-04:002010-03-19T14:51:34.572-04:00James,

His spirit comes through loud and clear, thanks to you.

A question that always comes to my mind when someone describes a painting as oil on "board". Would I be correct in assuming you mean illustration board? At least in my mind "board" is too easily confused with "panel", which in itself can have a number of definitions.

Thanks, as always, for sharing.Tom Harthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04770238579550226268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-10941451161113699862010-03-19T14:36:27.189-04:002010-03-19T14:36:27.189-04:00This is completely unrelated but I know you absolu...This is completely unrelated but I know you absolutely love this kind of stuff, http://www.linesandcolors.com/2010/03/19/alexa-meade/SCIBOTIChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00842140645022557449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-6235798094763246322010-03-19T14:20:40.365-04:002010-03-19T14:20:40.365-04:00I've always wanted to go to Ireland, get in to...I've always wanted to go to Ireland, get in touch with my Conley heritage.
