As I recall it was a transitional scene where the emphasis was on the dialog.

P.T. The paint is quite thin, scumbled over a pencil drawing on illustration board (sealed with acrylic matte medium). Apart from simply giving your reader a break from a lot of detail, does anyone else think this also implies a long passage of time? A more detailed rendering might only convey a moment, but I think this kind of rendering conveys the entire journey.Adam Rexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00613641218929467577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-54111706490933164482011-03-17T12:30:25.970-04:002011-03-17T12:30:25.970-04:00This doesn't look like it was easy. This doesn't look like it was easy.David Glennhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00220236704236960910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-42538063006039324112011-03-17T12:16:23.573-04:002011-03-17T12:16:23.573-04:00James, I have a question about your technique in t...James, I have a question about your technique in this painting. For this area shown, did you do the background first and then paint the figures onto it or did you lay down a dark spot and carve out the figures?P.T.
