She makes beautiful, historically accurate costumes for her paintings. Sometimes she displays the costumes along with them. I believe she made all the costumes you see in these paintings: http://www.meadowpaint.com/npainting2.htmlwooshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08382029633911661723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-2960063795688542272009-06-23T17:36:40.029-04:002009-06-23T17:36:40.029-04:00Everyone may already know this: Wetting the fabric...Everyone may already know this: Wetting the fabric can help it to drape more like a full scale garment when using a miniature. It depends on the fabric. You can also dip it in diluted white glue and it will hold its folds. This can be painted as well.Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05600856944731745751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-25091286965939074132009-06-23T17:36:26.890-04:002009-06-23T17:36:26.890-04:00I noticed that there is a toy castle on the floor ...I noticed that there is a toy castle on the floor in the model picture.<br />My god, don't tell me that the whole Dinotopia empire is based on some lego blocks...Erik Bongershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02409523352634066030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-81832509155023424712009-06-23T13:34:42.613-04:002009-06-23T13:34:42.613-04:00This is quite the head of hair in the top photo! This is quite the head of hair in the top photo!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00423051076809524563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-9033467826853059752009-06-23T12:10:51.220-04:002009-06-23T12:10:51.220-04:00I love all your tips! Once a mont I host a figure painting group and since I have collected antique clothing and costumes for years - it is always fun to dress the model different each time. It really makes for great paintings and sketches. I get a lot of my clothing from ebay, garage sales, and used clothing stores. Also, I like that a Hudson's Bay trading blanket (four points) is featured in your photo sample!Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09596875722436085739noreply@blogger.com
