That would stress me out too much, especially knowing I'm on a narrow timeline.doforanimalshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09799664078733389106noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-41612806974753836492018-05-14T11:11:38.458-04:002018-05-14T11:11:38.458-04:00I love the video James, thanks for taking the time...I love the video James, thanks for taking the time to answer my question!

I think the tip that I need to work on the most is #4. I have a tendency to get caught up on developing one area of the painting which requires a lot of color changes.

Working against a limited time frame seems to help too. I've been experimenting with breaking the time limit down into shorter segments. For example, I might give myself 10 minutes for drawing and 20 minutes for blocking in the basic shapes.

I'm going to steal Patricia's idea and carry your list with my supplies...CBreierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00344903942320966264noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-51484066656635303232018-05-13T21:37:09.756-04:002018-05-13T21:37:09.756-04:00#1 PAINT IN A REALLY SMALL FORMAT!

I can't remember anyone pointing out to me before that I should look around for places in the painting where I can use already mixed colors but that makes a lot of sense. It would be easy to tweak the color a little warmer/cooler or lighter/darker. I'm making a copy of your list and pasting it in my sketchbook. Pat

PS: Still love the monkey!! They place blobs where they need to be, and this aids also in judging distances and establishing composition. Then mov on to a second color, and so on.
gjAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
