I am trying to find working examples of how these are accomplished -- for example, it must involve merging two colors together etc. to create the illusion of depth. It's fascinating.forriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07746515846739364861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-92111012469093361732021-07-03T17:16:30.452-04:002021-07-03T17:16:30.452-04:00This is an aggregate "thank you" for exp...This is an aggregate "thank you" for exposing me to so many wonderful images of paintings that I would normally not get to see. This painting has mysterious looking dark areas; hence the word sfumato, which refers to the smoky looking shadows. Am I missing something? I understand the basics of it, but I'd love more detail.forriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07746515846739364861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-18002027175570577262021-07-03T11:44:43.222-04:002021-07-03T11:44:43.222-04:00Fascinating. If we were to have actually stumbled across this scene at the time, in real life, it probably would not have been so engaging. It would probably just have looked ordinary or slightly messy.

That deep inglenook color is beautiful.

What is the box that is near to feet of the person on the left?

And, is the person on the left actually asleep?Susan Krzywickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11734833252007456199noreply@blogger.com
