Gilding, which I've done since I was 15 years old (taught by my Dad), is a painstaking, laborious but always fulfilling process. I did glass gilding when I was younger, but nobody but nobody wants to pay you for the process when they can buy vinyl stick-on stuff. This is really awesome. There is a site that documents that his various works throughout the UK. I wish I could find it. His truck is a masterpiece of rolling advertising, albeit classy and all his. WONDERFUL! I think I'll but the record album just for the cover.MrCachethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17380421021822593083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-59877093074045632542013-03-05T15:04:13.788-05:002013-03-05T15:04:13.788-05:00Love this.Love this.mphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07926885394879793881noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-19522940802513583152013-03-04T20:39:51.802-05:002013-03-04T20:39:51.802-05:00Small world, I saw this video posted on another si...Small world, I saw this video posted on another site for engraving http://www.handengravingartist.com/ . I was equally -- if not more -- interested in the other documentary video on Cooke's website, Upside Down, Left to Right, about letterpress printing.Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09596875722436085739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-88341121067539735492013-03-04T08:53:56.426-05:002013-03-04T08:53:56.426-05:00I'd look forward to seeing the video. With the size of CDs - which are themselves being replaced by mp3 downloads - "album" artwork doesn't get anything like the attention it used to in the days of the LP. And thanks to you, James for highlighting this as well.Tom Harthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04770238579550226268noreply@blogger.com
