One such method that had me attracted is the nature texture. If you are looking for premium textures then look no further than RD-Textures. They provide a wide range of textures for #D Computer Graphics.AlisaJankovichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10145103480938741636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-58539729179855029602011-11-04T01:22:36.576-04:002011-11-04T01:22:36.576-04:00My Link:

No matter how hard you hurl the ball, it returns to you with less speed than you threw it. It is like that in telling a story in a picture. You must feel love or hate or humor much more intensely than you can expect the people who see your pictures to receive the impression."James Gurneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01870848001990898499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-61504017285625972862011-11-02T03:07:38.836-04:002011-11-02T03:07:38.836-04:00I know this is not related to the post, but I went...I know this is not related to the post, but I went to your workshop at LAAFA recently and you mentioned a great quote from Norman Rockwell....about painting compared to throwing a ball against the wall, and coming back with less force. Would you be able to tell me where to find that quote? I'd like to share it with my students at CSUF.

Thank you for your incredible generosity in sharing your knowledge with us. I've seen the fractal broccoli before, but not the cave nor the 3d generated fractal textures.

PBS did a little documentary about fractals titled "Hunting the Hidden Dimension". They mentioned several examples of fractals in everyday stuff. Cell phone antennas, snowflakes, trees, lightning, and seashells are all fractals.Levi Gilberthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08654274301554143325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-67663690295886596682011-11-01T19:25:31.340-04:002011-11-01T19:25:31.340-04:00Folarx, yes, these forms seem a perfect match to a...Folarx, yes, these forms seem a perfect match to a Lovecraft universe.

Jude, of course computer graphics based on fractals go back quite a long time -- way more than a decade -- and have been used in various ways in VFX and games. Polynomial is a space shooter with fractal-generated landscapes, and Minecraft, Spelunky, and Audiosurf all base their landscapes on very simple algorithms that create large and consistent worlds. Fisher-Diver on Kongregate uses procedurally generated NPCs, as do many other web and XBox Live Arcade games. Fractal Landscapes specifically are a well-explored but relatively unsuccessful concept.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14637177918464209159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999230124118604245.post-81320213440644881802011-11-01T07:33:08.822-04:002011-11-01T07:33:08.822-04:00That Mandelbuld video reminds me of Lovecraft'...That Mandelbuld video reminds me of Lovecraft's unspeakably outlandish horrors of the non-euklidian geometries in the places of the 'Old Ones'!
