Keanes to Be Subject of Tim Burton Film

Walter and Margaret Keane
Walter and Margaret Keane were known for the popular prints of big-eyed children in the 1960s. Though he claimed to have painted the pictures, she created them secretly behind the scenes. Their story will be featured in an upcoming Tim Burton biopic.

  1. I wonder if he'll delve deep into their actual relationship instead of just the artwork itself. Apparently Walter was extremely abusive and would lock Margaret in a den, forcing her to paint all day. Even after she won a settlement against him, she didn't get any money because he had wasted it all.
