Norman Teeling Painting on Location

Dublin artist Norman Teeling (born 1944) describes the experience of painting on location. "When I paint a picture," he say, "I want to be elevated, I want to escape from the mundane and enter a world of the romantic whether it be an interior or a landscape."
Thanks, Garin.

  2. Inspirational. It's a wonderful reminder of why we paint. I love thinking and talking about materials and techniques, but just getting out there and doing it gets to the essence of it all. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and thanks to Glenn Tait for the tip on the longer video.

  3. I love that he heads to the gym on the way home. I would have expected the pub!
