NYBG's Botanical Art Program

Besides being a leading public garden, the NYBG is an art school for plant lovers, with dozens of courses and weekend workshops on everything from “Plant Morphology for Botanical Artists” to “Daylilies in Colored Pencil and Watercolor.”

  1. Another amazing garden in your area is Stonecrop Garden in Cold Spring. We used to live in Queens, and we'd rent a car to drive up there. They specialize in obscure alpine plants.
