  1. I hadn't seen the video before. Wonderful. And I laughed so hard, I had to go back twice to make sure it was you as the gladiator. Seriously, you are so funny & your creativity knows no bounds.

  2. Wow, I went to the Heritage site and it's temporarily down, they got hacked with malware. (Don't worry folks, apparently personal & financial info kept elsewhere & not affected. )

  3. Seriously, were you the gladiator?

  4. No, that gladiator was not me. Unless I unknowingly took a time machine ride.

  5. If I had the money I’d be there at the auction! I saw this painting when I was in school and it made a lasting impression on me. This painting and all the Dean Cornwell illustrations from the novel, "The Robe”, were in a traveling exhibit promoting the motion picture. He was a true master of the art. Thanks for digging up the video. No matter what you say, I also think you were the model in the video. Great post, James.

  6. Oh, pashaw… I was sure that you did a video clip in old style, with the flicker, etc. & put yourself in gladiator costume & cut yourself into the clip as a joke... it seemed so Gurney... (Sorry I got it so wrong, guys...)

  7. Penny, what a fun idea. I only wish I had been ingenious enough to have thought of it and pulled it off.
