Little-known Dinotopia fact: The character named “Orchardwine” who Arthur Denison meets at the hatchery looks a lot like Richard Owen, the British scientist who coined the word “Dinosaur” in 1841. The names are anagrams.
I hope someone deduced this before now. Waiting 17 years to let everyone in on such ingenuity shows more self control than I ever muster. If people fail to "get" my attempts at cleverness after 24 hours I make sure it gets explained. Once again, your modesty is admirable.

Yup that's Owen alright.
