Into the Pixel

Some of the most exciting concept art is done for the interactive game industry. One venue for recognition in this field is a website called Into the Pixel, supported by The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences and the Entertainment Software Association.

Here are a couple of the winners from the 2011 competition, announced at the E3 convention.

Top: "Market Fire, Columbia" by Ben Lo for BioShock Infinite (Photoshop)
Bottom: "Stahl Arms" by Jesse van Dijk for Killzone 3 (Photoshop)

  1. The top "Market Fire" piece is great. Looking at the higher res copy, the strokes are only as detailed as necessary for each area. Very cool.
