(Video link) The Miniatur Wunderland of Hamburg, Germany sets a high standard for model building, not just miniature railroads, but airports, ships, and fire trucks.
That's really fascinating. Given that the space shuttle is already an anachronism, I wonder how they'll handle the rapid changes going on in today's world. Should they keep the exhibit frozen in time, or try to keep the Miniutur Wunderland up to date?
As a model railroader, and having been to MiWuLa, I can only say that I warmly recommend it if you are in the neighbourhood! Model railroading is for me as an artist a very fun hobby, as it allows me to express myself in many creative ways. Thanks for sharing, Mister Gurney. I have to visit this amazing place next time I'll be around Hamburg. You show me the highlights of my own country - funny :D
