Shanghai People’s Fine Arts Publishing House has just published a Chinese edition of
Imaginative Realism: How to Paint What Doesn't Exist. The layout of the book is the same as the English edition, but the dimensions are a little smaller. As far as we know, this edition will only be available in China.

ReplyDeleteYami, I hope there will be a French edition someday, but there are no plans right now. If there is an interested foreign publisher, they can contact the international rights department at my publisher, AndrewsMcMeel in Kansas City, USA.
ReplyDeleteThere is something in the look and feel of the Chinese characters that seems oddly in tune with our brush-wielding friend on the cover. He seems born to be paired with those characters. To my eye, the total effect of the cover is more unified than with English lettering.

ReplyDeleteIs it me, or did the Chinese cover make a "Foo-man-chu" style over your character's face? It somehow looks different.

I prefer english version as the color and quality are more good to me.
Was given your book Color and Light as a christmas gift, a classic that belongs on every art book shelf just like literary classics, Tom Sawer... Ernest Hemingway novels etc., that belong on a writers book shelf.
