  1. Eugenè Burnand's painting hangs in the Orsay Museum in Paris. I've often lingered in front of it - it's one of my favourite paintings there. It's quite small in person (made all the smaller by the large paintings surrounding it) and painted with plenty of texture and expression.

    I like the three point perspective and low viewpoint in Bouguereau's piece.

    I love the expression in the faces, and the figure on the left looks vaguely like Orlando Bloom (maybe it's just me!)

    There doesn't seem to be as many resurrection paintings as crucifixion paintings.. i guess it's a harder thing to depict...
