Hombre McSteez, also known as Marty Cooper, strikes again with a new compilation of madcap plein-air animations (Link to YouTube).
Cooper creates the films by shooting a series of stills with his iPhone. He draws the cartoon creatures with paint pens and a Sharpie on many sheets of transparency film held up in front of real scenes.
I want to start painting with water/poster colour. Could you give me some beginner's tips ... like what to start drawing with (as I can't just jump to complicated pictures), what are some things I should keep in mind when handling colours etc.

Hilarious, great pieces as always. What I especially like is the first section where, like you, he generously shares a mini-course in his method. It's wonderful to be reminded how social media can be used for good and the betterment of us all, and not just snarky comments.
