1911 Book of Funny Cat Pictures

People have been captioning funny cat photos for more than a hundred years. This one, titled "I AM THE QUEEN," is from a 1911 book called "Kittens and Cats: A First Reader," available for a free download from Archive.org.

    I'd rate it creepy.....we grew up with 50's TV shows like the smiling ED MC Connell show...featuring Froggy the Gremlin and Midnight the cat ( a live cat secured in a puppet cat body) delightfully demented and creative

    Cats back then had a much better command of the language than the “haz cheezburger” cats of today. I thought the teaching notes at the end were very interesting.
