Rhinecliff Dock

Rhinecliff has an active train station and was once a busy ferry terminal on the Hudson River.

Rhinecliff Dock, 8 x 10 oil
An old iron bridge lets you cross over the train tracks so that you can go from the hotel to the dock.

  1. I love those wintry colours. Is that ice floating on the river? Looks like it was a chilly painting session.

  2. I hope this is a sign that I am going to get to buy "Oil in the Wild" to go with the rest.

  3. What Gary said :). That would be a wonderful addition to my library.

  4. I've been reading the recent graphic novel biography of William Seabrook and apparently he died in Rhinebeck.

  5. Is there a gallery that represents you? I'd love to add a small painting to my tiny collection, but cannot seem to find any available for sale.

  6. Bernicky, thanks. I'll have two originals for sale coming up. One is a sketchbook with Bynd Artisan in Singapore, and the other will be the California Arts Club Gold Medal Exhibition in southern California. Follow my other blog "JamesGurneyOriginalArt" for more originals news.

Thanks, Gary and Tom. I'd love to do a video on plein-air oil. It's my first love in outdoor painting.

  7. James, I hope you don't mind me posting this question here so you will see it, but what is that transparent grid device you are using in another video? Is it something of your own invention?

Also, nice to see you working in oils this time.
