Alaska Artist Residency Sign-up

Voices of the Wilderness is an artist residency program sponsored by the US Forest Service, the National Park Service and the US Fish & Wildlife Service. They're now accepting applicants to the 2013 season.

The program now has ten different wilderness areas across Alaska hosting painters, sculptors, filmmakers, and writers. The goal of each residency is "to experience the wilderness with a ranger and to use your creativity as a voice for these wild places."

At their blog you can find out more about the experience through photos and stories from past residencies.

For general questions about the program, please contact Barbara Lydon at lydon_barbara@yahoo.com.
