Fall 2012 Lecture Tour

I'm excited to announce that this fall I'll be visiting art schools in the southeastern USA.

Here's the list.
September 12. Montgomery College, Rockville, Maryland

September 17. Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, Georgia

September 18. Georgia Health Sciences University, Augusta, Georgia

September 19. Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, GA

September 20. Savannah College of Art and Design, Atlanta, Georgia

September 24. Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia, PA

October 13. Lyman Allyn Art Museum (with Dinotopia exhibition)

October 18-20 American Society of Architectural Illustration, Baltimore, MD

If you're a student or a teacher at one of these schools, I look forward to meeting you, seeing your school or organization, and sharing a lecture, demo, and book signing.

I'll try to update the information as we get closer, and find out which events are open to the public.

Hi James,

Any chance you`ll be visiting around the Seattle area or the West Coast[around San Fran or LA]?

I`ll be studying at Digipen Institute of Technology in Redmond during the Fall semester as an exchange trip, and I`d love to be able to attend a lecture of yours and meet you.

sadly, you re not coming around my place. But just to show you how far your influence reaches... here I m, in a very little village in slovenia (western europe), painting in solitude a portrait I ve been asking for, and really glad that you share with the world your knowledge, your sympathy and your art.
Thanks very much for everything. Reading your blog each day is wonderful, almost as good as assisting to your lectures

I'm a student at the SCAD Savannah Campus! I can't wait to see you there! I've been a fan since I was just a little kid, so there's no way I'm missing this. :)

I'm in SC and those Georgia appearances are very close to me. If any are open to the public I would make the trip. Especially if there is a watercolor demo in there somewhere.

Aww... You're finally in the southeast, and yet I'll be in a completely different south for the rest of the year (South Korea, to be exact). Oh well. I'm glad you'll be in the region, anyway. Hopefully it will be such a great success that you'll want to come our way again. ;)

I'll totally come see you at Montgomery College!

You should do some extras and do a lecture at a local high school at each location. As a high school teacher (nowhere near any of these, darnit) I can say the kids would love it.

What Jake Robert Bussell said. Any chance these lectures will be recorded for those of us peering across the pond?
