American Masters 2016

Rose Garden, 2016. Casein on birch panel
This original painting, Rose Garden, will be offered for sale on Friday, October 14 at the American Masters exhibition in New York. I painted it while I was Artist in Residence at the New York Botanical Garden last summer.

I'm thrilled to have my paintings hanging alongside my colleagues such as Charlie Hunter, Burton Silverman, Joseph McGurl, Chris Blossom, Garin BakerEleinne BasaMax Ginsburg, Joseph Paquet, Matt Smith, and John Stobart.

Jeanette and I will be there on the 14th, 6:00-8:30 for the Gala event, along with many of the other artists, so please come by and say hello.

Creek Above Kaaterskill Falls, oil on linen, 20 x 16 in.
The show is up now at the Salmagundi Club and will be on view through October 21. Here's information about how purchasing works at the show. The Gala costs $50 to attend, but seeing the show any other time is free.

Wish I could be there! If Matt Smith manages to be at the Gala, please tell him hello for me. I was fortunate to be in a five day workshop with Matt this summer.

Both paintings are beautiful. I think flowers are so much more difficult than they seem.
