Spoonbill Studies

Spoonbill study skins drawn in pencil and watercolor in the back of a natural history museum.

I did these studies as reference for a painting of Alexander Humboldt on the Orinoco, published in National Geographic .

Love these Spoon Bills - I think this is from the page about mixing greys? - In Ipswich, Uk We have a museum set up by a chap who was one of Darwins teachers...a Taxidermists Dream! - Makes think it would be worth going and making a few sketches!
