Hi James! Random question: Why do I have so much trouble with separation when I mix ultramarine blue and burnt sienna gouache? It's holbein. I was trying to play with your video from the parking lot with the pile of snow, and the colors barely stayed mixed long enough to load the brush, and even with layers of mixing on the page, they separated into clear sienna background, ultramarine foreground? What am I doing wrong?

Clare, I don't know why the ultra and BS don't mix well in Holbein. I wonder if you could use some sort of emulsifier to help them blend better. Maybe you could contact Holbein company and see if they have any ideas?
