James, Thanks for sharing. Mel is a great storyteller, and what a story the Outer Space Men is! While I enjoyed the previous posts about these figures, I had missed until now that these can be found for sale on Amazon!
I was just in bed with a the flu for a week and whenever I am sick i start to think of childhood things- Winnie the Pooh, Uncle Wiggly, and.. these came up I remember having them as a kid, I remember that space toys were big, I even had a snoopy astronaut- there was an optimism about Space and the future where now its more dystopian.
How AWESOME. I remember out-of-town being huge as a kid (Lost in Space, Star Trek...). I never got to explore it as a kid as Tonka took over my world with an odd mix of broomsticks and bottles but I'm more than willing to start over now! Lol

Ugh. "Auto correct" the bane of my existence. "Outer space" NOT "out of town"!!
