Farmer vs. Artist

Cartoon by J.R. Williams

This gave me a chuckle. A farmer confronts an artist, who is painting at the edge of his field. “Git off this farm!" he says. "I’m tryin’ to learn my boys to WORK!”

That's from "Out Our Way", a popular newspaper panel cartoon created by J. R. Williams in 1922. At its height, it ran in more than 700 newspapers.

Good one :D This cartoonist's style reminds me a bit of H.T. Webster's, who created the Caspar Milquetoast character (The Timid Soul).
