I purchased the book a few days ago and am waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I've heard so many positive remarks on it so I cannot wait to read it!
It was 03% when I voted. I just got a young man writing to ask if I teach or take on apprentices--I said no, I don't, but go out and buy Imaginary Realism and Color and Light, my usual response to such questions. Congrats, Jim!
Hey James, I tried to get my hands on a copy of the book, but it's not available in any bookstore online or anywhere... it seems it is sold out. I hope they are making a new edition...
Zeitwolf--thanks for the vote. We've got the book at the Dinotopia Store (at www.dinotopia.com)——and I can sign it for you. The second printing is on a boat from China, so you're right--the first printing is hard to come by at most retailers.
That's a wonderful offer actually. Now, it would be great to live in the US sometimes ;-) ...but now I know the ship is on its way I will patiently wait in eager anticipation.
Historian, it should be coming back into stores very soon now, as the new printing makes its way across on container ships. Sorry for the inconvenience--the publisher underestimated the demand.

I just voted, but now that I saw the graph, I'm feeling more sympathy for those poor other contestants...
Well you jumped from 56% to over 90% in less than an hour. Those other folks didn't stand a chance!
