Etch A Sketch inventor dies

Andre Cassagnes, the French inventor of the Etch A Sketch art toy has died. He originally called it “L’Ecran Magique,” which means ‘the magic screen.’ The design was bought by the Ohio Art company, which made it into the most popular drawing toy of all time.

Steering the little black line with the two white dials takes concentration and patience. George Vlosich claims to have spent over 150 hours creating this portrait of Paul McCartney.
