TSA Guy

We’re in Monterey, California at the Plein Air convention, and I’ll try to bring you some photos and sketches from the event. Here’s one from the trip over, a TSA guy that I sketched on the airport shuttle.

Another installment in the cell phone series?

It's always a special treat for me when I click on GJ and see a new sketch. Selfishly, I'd love to see one daily...as if you don't already put in enough time and effort on the blog.

Great sketch, btw. More vibrant color than you usually employ in these smaller sketches - yes?

I also like the way you rendered those crossed legs.

Wow, you got a lot of detail in this. May I ask how long it took you?

Unknown, on this one I did something I don't normally do, which is to work on it a bit from memory after the fact. I only had about 10 minutes to draw on the short ride from the long term parking area at Newark to the air terminal, and it was just about the bounciest bus ride I had ever been on.

Tom, glad you're enjoying them. Yes, I used some strong colors because I noticed how blue his shirt really was, and it wouldn't do to paint it dull.

Steve, yes, it seems to be another in that series, but that was just what he happened to be doing.

Thanks, Rich. Luckily the crossed lets stayed that way for just about the whole ride.
