Here are some pencil sketches that I did in 1987 at Old Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts, where they recreate the life of an American small town in the early 19th century.
Damon Cook, cooper |
Notching an oak beam before hewing. |
Hewing with a broadaxe |
Some tools of the trade, all made on-site |
John Eaton, tinner, making a betty lamp. |
