Casein Contest

I don't usually promote art contests if they cost money to enter, but this one is different.
Casein Painting by Stephen Quiller
The Jack Richeson and Co., the only maker of artist-grade casein, has announced a casein contest with a $5000 cash first prize. The entry fee is $50, but every entrant automatically receives over $100 in retail value of complimentary products.

Casein will be given to every entrant
Everyone who enters gets a nine-color set of paint, two brushes, and paper, and the first 75 registered entrants receive a book from Stephen Quiller.

Thank you for the heads-up James, I'm in! I've been thinking of investing in casein supplies for some time, and considering everything included with the entry fee, it makes sense to start now. This will be great fun! Would you recommend adding half-black to the included selection of paints?

Casein is a difficult medium in several ways, but I signed up for this if only because I admire the Richeson marketing staff for coming up with such a clever way to sell casein. Everybody wins!

Thanks for sharing this – I’ve always wanted to try casein, and this looks like an affordable way to finally take the risk.

This looks really interesting. I am wondering if it is wise to sign up now or should I wait until later so that the paint won't freeze during delivery? I live in Ontario, Canada.

Thanks for sharing this, I do think I'd like to sign up and try casein properly! It is clever on Richeson's part, good way to get some exposure to the medium.

I signed up a few weeks ago! I've been meaning to try Casein.

I was wondering if anyone here received their sign up materials yet? I have no idea when they will arrive.

Same here. I signed up at the beginning of February, no sign of the casein kit yet.

I received my set of colors, 2 brushes, and managed to be early enough to get the Quiller book as a bonus. Delivered around the 26th.

I’m so excited about this competition. I can’t wait to see all the entries and how other artists are using casein.
