The Clothesline

The Clothesline by J.G.
The summer sky coaxes the dripping wetness
From the yellow tee, the blue jeans,
And the red flannel shirt.
The breeze teases them,
Into dancing together,
Before they return indoors,
Folded and stacked in separate drawers,
Secretly glowing with the memory of sun.

Love it. Oil?

Yes, it's oil on panel, about 4 x 6 inches.

Perfectly charming. I still use a clothes line - nothing better.

Beautiful! Both the poem and the painting!

“Secretly glowing with the memory of the sun” ... this resonates with me especially now in a strict lockdown in my area. Like the jeans and the shirt I hope to get put out on the line again soon.
