Inauguration Day


With the presidential inauguration of Barack Obama, it's a day of great hope for America, and for the world.

So, are those the steps to the Capital behind you? Yes, that's a perfect spot for a quick presidential portrait.
Hmmm, looks crowded already.

And did you use the same C-stands when you painted the leaving president at the white house?
Dick Cheney should have been more carefull when he came to see progress of the portrait.

You may wonder how Europe (well..Flanders in Belgium) is following the inauguration.
Well, live of course on national TV, just like you. Obama hype in Europe? We even have Obama gadgets like cups, t-shirts, you name it.
A first sign that Obama is boosting the economy.

So can we share in your excitement?

I should have mention that the photo was taken a few years ago at a plein-air painting event in New Paltz It was a rainy and very cold day, so I needed the full umbrella coverage and fingerless gloves.
