James: have you ever seen that video of the huge wooden puppets (including an elephant) that paraded through the streets of Paris? Beautiful. This artwork reminded me of that.
Wow love your sketches! I've always been a fan of illustrations with dinosaurs.Works like these show the artist's good grasp of art.. Love it! Love it! Its all I can say. Good job James!
But the picture struck me, is this Dinotopia?? It really does look like it as I had the book when I was young.. you never know it might still be around on my shelf somewhere :)
Thanks, everybody, for your congrats. To be honest, I wasn't aware of Blogs of Note before, but I am now! It really boosted the traffic, and I'm so happy to have new visitors, and thanks to the early believers (yo, Dan!).
Rebecca, yes, I think you mean the giant puppets from Nantes. I saw the elephant when I was there a few weeks ago.
ArchiveGirl--I'm the Dinotopia guy. Glad you enjoyed the books.
