James: have you ever seen that video of the huge wooden puppets (including an elephant) that paraded through the streets of Paris? Beautiful. This artwork reminded me of that.

Thanks, everybody, for your congrats. To be honest, I wasn't aware of Blogs of Note before, but I am now! It really boosted the traffic, and I'm so happy to have new visitors, and thanks to the early believers (yo, Dan!).
Rebecca, yes, I think you mean the giant puppets from Nantes. I saw the elephant when I was there a few weeks ago.
