Salvador Dalí was the universal artist.
In his own mind at least, he was performer, sports figure, leading man, humorist, comic artist, published author, and, oh yes, painter. This made him a tricky candidate for the old TV game show “What’s My Line?” where contestants tried to guess a person’s profession.
Notice how he shrewdly sizes up the room at the outset, and then maintains a deadpan sprezzatura afterward.

Great post!
Me,too. Great post.
I literally LOL'd :-D Thanks for sharing!
That was hilarious! A great man with a great ego it seems.
He must have used a ton of mustache wax in his lifetime!
i thank you not just for the video but for the new word added to my vocabulary - sprezzatura! :D
Thanks for sharing. I don't think we'll ever see an artist again like Salvador Dali in this eon.
Seen this before. It's great! :)
Okay, how often do you truly laugh out loud when you type it? At this I actually LOL-ed.
Was this awesome?
Yes!
My god, I just found the Alfred Hitchcock one. Also awesome
do you notice how all the men are in dinner jackets and the women dressed in evening wear (what we consider' formal' now )? do you notice how much more articulate every one was?
we are certainly a less graceful and elegant people nowadays.
I've seen this before and I love it now just as much as I did then. Say what you will about the man, but I'm inclined to let him have his self proclaimed title of 'genius.'
Warhol learned about viral marketing from Dali, the first and still one of the best.
Brilliant!
TV was so much better back then.
Wow, that made my day! Thanks!
hahah I think that's one of the best What's My Line I've ever seen, Thanks! :]
