Today I had my first ride ever on an iceboat.
Reid Bielenberg invited me aboard the Vixen, a lateen-rigged ice yacht from 1885 once owned by John A. Roosevelt, FDR's uncle.

There were over 30 iceboats on the Hudson today, the best conditions they've seen in decades.
