Jason Daniel Jackson has come up with a simple and lightweight way to store wet oil panels, two at a time.
It's called "PanelRoo," and it's made of wood molding with four spring clips on each face, which hold each painting facing into the middle. They're available in most standard sizes on his website, but he can also make custom sizes.

Ooo! Cool.
I'm always painting on panels... This looks useful to me. :) Thanks!
Thanks for the heads up James! I'm always trying to figure out a way to pack my wet oils through the back country.
What a great idea!
Looks very nice. I also like my artcocoon which is made of cardboard:

heh... i have a friend who designed somthing similar.. was always joking he should make them and start selling them.. bet he regrets now - though this is the sort of thing that once it catches on big manufacturers will be able to copy because its pretty unpatenable.
In any event, I have always used something similar for oil sketch classes - have two masonite boards the same size, stretcher bar frame the same size - and simply tape primed watercolor paper to both masonite boards, use the boards to sandwich the strecher bar frame and hold it together nylon straps
