Proof that you don't need bones in your legs to locomote on land.

Could this mean there is an evolutionary future for land cephalopods ?

In the meantime, this video could be a nice basis for animating a Lovecraftian chaotic creature in a horror movie.

You know, it's much easier if you just build a tripod.

There was a great Discovery Channel program about this very thing! It was called The Future is Wild and projected that some 200 million years in the future squid descendants might colonize land.

The Megasquid is just fascinating!

I love octopi--they're such fascinating, innovative creatures that area always full of surprises. I was aware of their ability to locomote on land for short periods of time but this is the first time I've ever seen one in action. I love the way its tentacles pool out gracefully from beneath its body.
