If you're in need of a pretentious sounding art critique, try the Instant Art Critique Phrase Generator."
It produces whoppers like, "With regard to the issue of content, the mechanical mark-making of the spatial relationships verges on codifying the essentially transitional quality."
All you do is type in five random numbers. For example, "54321" yields: "Although I am not a painter, I think that the reductive quality of the spatial relationships contextualize a participation in the critical dialogue of the 90s."

This might also be useful for artist's statements.
the mechanical mark-making of the spatial relationships, never fails!
Just for your work - It should be added that the aura of the negative space visually and conceptually activates the remarkable handling of light.
97952--As an advocate of the Big Mac Aesthetic, I feel that the aura of the sexy fish makes resonant the eloquence of these pieces.
Next step would be an "Instant Abstract Art Generator": Just any random input of numbers would then produce an endless tapestry of visual abstractions.
Incidental reference to Rockwell's "the Connoisseur" in the picture? :)
Fantastic. It's almost like the "word generator" chart of the 80s? You could choose a ponderous word from each of 5 columns and compose whole presentations with extremely intelligent, undecipherable words. This critiquer is a blast.Thanks. I might have to repost you on my blog just because it's so much fun.
Thanks for all your wonderful entertainment.
I ve been checking this, and it seems that each number affects just to one part of the sentence. pi if you type 00000, 10000, 20000... there d be just one part of the sentence that changes, the first one. Is amazing how you can make a sentence apparently very smart and at the same time absurd.
I am sitting at my computer typing numbers and laughing away! Thanks for the many chuckles.
I don't know. I really don't believe in being wordy when it comes time for me to be a critic to someone else art work. To me, it would sound like a whole lot of hot air and fake. I feel that it is more important to say how you really feel about something and to be constructive. There's not enough constructive criticism out there and a whole lot of rudeness to go around. Now that's totally useless to a person who my want to grow and learn.
Wow- just like most real art criticism- Verbose and useless!
I love it, it's fantastic!
