It is with great sadness that the illustration world mourns the passing of Barbara Bradley yesterday from a car accident. Barbara was a veteran of the Cooper Studios and the Merrill Company Publishers. She was recently featured in Illustration Magazine, and was still active as a beloved teacher at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

Hi James,
Thank you for this tribute to Barbara. She was a great teacher, who gave much and expected much of us. It was an honor to be her student, and I mourn with the illustration community of her passing.
Just terrible news. She sounded like an excellent teacher, and a real sweet gal to boot.

Hi James:
We haven't met, but I'm a long time admirer of your work. I wrote the profile of Barbara Bradley in a recent issue of Illustration Magazine, & like everyone else who was touched by this extraordinary person, I am devastated by her passing. Thanks for mentioning her -- the illustration community has has lost a wonderful teacher.
