Upon clicking PLAY, I immediately noticed this video is just over 41 minutes long. "Too long! I'll just watch the first minute or two," I thought.

42 minutes later, I'm typing this comment. The content totally sucked me in. What an entertaining, informative, and inspiring video!

Thanks for linking to the interview! I've been following McFarlane Facebook page for some time and he is constantly writing encouraging posts about the value of hard work and perseverance. He often shows in his page his first juvenile (rejected) works (something that artists not often do), compared to more experienced things he did after spending time studying and practicing, to make people understand that everybody can obtain good results, even if they are not born with "talent". Summing up, his message could be "you think you suck, but i sucked too at the beginning, here's the proof. I studied and i became a better artist. If i did that, you can too." I think it's the best advice about art (and life, perhaps).

This was so inspiring... I am sick of people whining and moaning about this and that and their victimhood... I've read Colonel Sanders story; Ulysses S. Grant; even Thomas Edison... all failed, but all kept at it, working hard until they succeeded. This Todd McFarlane has inspired me at 70 to continue to work hard and be enthusiastic...
