That last line is so true. I've always felt a real connection between paleontology, art, animation and movies -- people want to SEE those things. I also think that it's true that the newer guys use 3d tools and less traditional tools -- however, I think that the best of those new guys really are artists too. I think as a person who is trying to straddle the digital paint world AND the traditional paint world, that it is important to keep a hand in both those realms -- one hand washes the other.
