Same to you, Jeanette, and your entire family, James. I'm one of the many who makes Gurney Journey a part of every day. Your knowledge and generosity are something that I am truly and continually thankful for. Enjoy a wonderful holiday!
Amen! Let's eat!
I'm grateful an incredible artist is more than happy to share his talents and wisdom. Thank you for this blog and the books Mr. Gurney. It's helped me pass plein air class, and it will help me in many years to come :) God bless.
Dear James Gurney,
Thank you for your very rich and informative blog.I cannot think of another one which measures up to it in terms of generosity. Long may you continue! I have Color and Light and it is full of interest and certainly repays study.
I love the casein paintings but am a little envious-you cannot buy them here in the UK. Richesons don't seem to have a distributor.
Thank you very much for sharing your work and your knowledge with us!
I appreciate all you do, James. Thank you for you generous contributions.
I really admire your diligence to post a blog every single day! That's a dedication. Thanks for all your informative posts!
Ditto! We don't have Thanksgiving' here in New Zealand, but I suppose we make a long and summery get-together of Christmas instead.
Your generous sharing is greatly appreciated even down here at the parson's nose of the Earth :-)
And thank you sir for taking us with you on your journey. It has been an indispensable boost for my work!
Thanks! Great Leyendecker cover here, haven't seen it before: The old man on the picture has fallen asleep and is dreaming away.
Very interesting to study such a competent realist painter depicting a dream. The girl with the enchanting turkey has got an Art Nouveau setting. Leyendecker may have been inspired by Alfons Mucha here, won't he?
Thanksgiving has got everybody rejoicing, err...almost everybody. Don't know about a million turkeys though.
Sorry, my wife is a vegetarian:-(
I'm thankful for James Gurney and his fantastic blog! My wife and I made our first trip to Paris in September. On our trip I was blown away by the academy painters I saw in the d'Orsay museum. I've been researching many of them since I got home and was glad to find so many references to them and great books on your blog James!! Thanks!
Happy Thanksgiving Mr. Gurney and thanks for all the wonderful art and for this blog!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family James.
