At the farmer’s market in our town, you’ll find fresh bread, salad greens, eggs, honey, jams, meat, wood crafts, and music.

Congratulations on your 5000th (!) blog post. That's a remarkable achievement onto itself even if you haven't passed along your knowledge of painting and introduced us to all sorts of topics. Thank you for your continued support of this blog. I'm certain I'm not alone when saying how much your admirers look forward to each new entry!
I second what Mr Fontaine said. Your sharing of knowledge is priceless and I learn something or I am enlightened by checking your blog everyday. Thank You James Gurney!!!
Congratulations, keep posting. I started following you daily a couple of years ago and have read most be of your past posts
Congratulations on your 5000th post!! What an achievement, I really admire your sticking power and wish you could bottle a bit and sell it. Love the painting today, it is remarkable how you can see past all the detail to draw in the big shapes and values first.
WOW... 5000 Posts...that is amazing, especially knowing the wealth of information you share in your posts...thanks James for all you do. Your fans do appreciate it.
James, way to go, 5000th post and we appreciate your research, time, and effort.
I think what you dispense is courage. Wade right in there. Get 'er done. Thanks so much for the support you and yours give us.

Thank you for the 5000!
PS: Don't stop!!
I was thinking about this the other night, before I found out this is your 5,000th post. Do you have it all backed up?!!!!!!!! What you have created and contributed to the art world and people's knowledge is immense. Computers go down, servers crash, companies change policies or close down. Please, please make sure all of these posts and videos are backed up somewhere. They are irreplaceable; too wonderful to ever lose. Thank you for your dedication, talent & sharing your knowledge with all of us.
Hi, Penny, I backed it up early on after the first 500 posts or so. I wonder if someone out there has made a backup and whether they might be willing to share a copy with me. One time I accidentally deleted a post and I asked the community if anyone had it, and several people did. So that's encouraging.
Congratulations on the 5,000th post! Thank you!
Backing up the text part would be fairly easy (but it would take a long time at 5000 posts! Haha!), but you would have to back up the photos independently. If you have a gmail account it makes it easier... there are a few good sites out there with directions, or if you need help let me know.
P.S congrats on the 5000th post!
Hi,
Congratulations on 5000 posts. You never cease to amaze me. I have learned so much watching your videos. Thank you! I follow your channel and have a question I am hoping you can answer. I received 10 sheets of Fabriano traditional white 140 lb. paper that had not been sized. The supplier, Dick Blick, is replacing them for me but I would like to play with the unsized paper to see what can be done to make it usable. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
Thank you

Lynn, I'm not experienced enough with sizing paper to offer you valuable advice, but maybe someone else can, or perhaps you can find out by searching online. Experiment, and see what works or doesn't work.
you are amazing
